Orlando G. Jones, Jr., JD, is a highly accomplished political and legislative expert with over 15 years of experience in government relations, strategic advocacy, and policy development. Renowned for his ability to navigate complex political landscapes, Orlando has a proven record of delivering results for clients at the federal, state, and local levels. Most recently, Orlando served as the Chief of Staff and Director of Government Relations for the Secure Elections Project (SEP), where he oversaw a national team working to secure and modernize election infrastructure across multiple states. In this role, Orlando has demonstrated exceptional leadership by developing and maintaining an innovative bill-tracking system that monitored over 1,000 legislative proposals annually across all 50 states. His strategic oversight ensured that SEP’s mission and priorities were addressed with precision, and his efforts have directly contributed to the strengthening of key bipartisan voting reforms in states like Missouri, West Virginia, Virginia, Oklahoma, Arizona, and Michigan. Orlando’s ability to bridge divides and foster collaboration across party lines underscores his commitment to advancing impactful and sustainable policies.

Orlando’s multi-state experience extends beyond elections policy. While serving as Government Relations Liaison for Texas Children’s Hospital, he led advocacy efforts that secured over $50 million in federal funding during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping the hospital system respond effectively to the crisis. Additionally, he worked closely with Texas administrative agencies to advance policies that improved health outcomes for women and children. His work in these diverse legislative environments reflects his adaptability and deep understanding of policy-making processes across various sectors.

Orlando’s career began on Capitol Hill, where he served in key legislative roles for three members of Congress and two influential committees. During his tenure with the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, Orlando advised on critical issues such as healthcare, STEM education and workforce development, immigration, housing, environmental oversight, and economic growth in underserved communities. His work directly contributed to advancing initiatives that addressed pressing needs in health equity, small business development, and affordable housing, showcasing his dedication to creating opportunities for marginalized populations.
